'This book guides us to explore various dimensions of population ageing both in global and Indian context. It brings together research findings and analyses on issues relating to population ageing from social, economic, cultural, gender, health, and demographic perspectives. It would be a relevant volume for all concerned with population ageing.'
- K S James, Senior Visiting Scholar, Newcomb Institute, Tulane University
'This is a comprehensive book that covers many important aspects around prioritising ageing in India’s development agenda and planning, while drawing lessons from regional and global experience. It is interesting to see articles on less explored subjects like experience of ageing by women and social groups, informal and formal care, and geriatric mental health. This book will be useful for academics and practitioners and all those who wish to understand the future demographic dynamics of India.'
- Rohit Prasad, Chief Executive Officer, HelpAge India
