Biography

Andrea Guiso is a Full Professor of Contemporary History at the Department of Communication and Social Research, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.

Daniele Pasquinucci is a Full Professor of History of International Relations and Jean Monnet Chair in History of European integration at the Department of Social, Political and Cognitive Sciences of the University of Siena, Italy.

"Brexit and Britain’s skepticism and ultimate disenchantment with membership in the European Union have been much-discussed subjects. Much less so is Populist anti-Europeanism, thought to be a relatively new phenomenon. Though increasingly reported by journalists over the last few years, there has been no major study devoted to it across the major European states until now.
