Biography

Prof. Sudhir Pratap Singh is a Professor of Industrial Biotechnology at Gujarat Biotechnology University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. The focus of his research is gene mining, biocatalyst engineering and characterization to produce high-value rare sugar and functional biomolecules, such as D-allulose, trehalose, turanose, prebiotic oligosaccharides, resistant starch, etc. Dr. Singh has published over 80 research articles in SCI journals. He has edited 10 books, published by international publishers. The scientific contributions of Prof. Singh have been recognized by several prestigious scientific honours, e.g. TATA Innovation Fellowship, DBT, Govt. of India (2024), Associate Fellowship, Indian Science Academy (2024), Fellow, National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, India (2023), Prof. SB Chincholakar Award, BRSI (2023-24), Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Award to the team, SRISTI (2019), Professor Hira Lal Chakravarty Award, Indian Science Congress Association, DST (2018), SBS-MKU Genomics Award, BRSI (2016-17), and Young Scientist Award, International Bioprocessing Association (2016-17).

Dr. Jyoti Singh Jadaun, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in Dayanand Girls’ P.G. College, affiliated to CSJM, University, Kanpur since 2017. She earned her PhD degree from Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)- Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow, India. She pursued her Post-Doctoral research as SERB-NPDF at DBT-Center of Innovative and Applied Bioprocessing, Mohali, India. She has carried out research in various domains of environment sustainability. Her keen interests are to develop the process for sustainable production of biopolymers, green technology to remediate the heavy metal contaminated sites and excursion of plants endophytes to formulate biocontrol agents. She has published 11 research articles, 05 review articles and 14 book chapters of international repute and 03 patents in her credit. Her research contribution are well cited with h-index of 15.

Dr. Amit Kumar Rai is Scientist D at the DBT-National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute, Mohali, Punjab, India. He has served as Scientist at DBT-Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development, regional centre, Sikkim, India from 2012 to 2023. His current research focus is on fermented foods, microbial biotransformation, bioactive peptides, and enzymes for production of value-added products. To his credit, he has filed five patents and 126 publications including 90 publications in SCI Journals and Edited/Authored 4 books and author 32 book chapters with >3800 citations. His performance has resulted in the bestowment of the Associate Fellow 2023 from Indian National Science Academy (INSA), Young Scientist Award 2022 from International Bioprocessing Association 2019, Young Scientist Award 2016 from Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India), Young Scientist Award 2015 by Association of Microbiologist of India, Selected Member of National Academy of Science, India - 2022, AU-CBT Excellence Award 2009 by the Biotech Research Society of India, and Award for Excellence in Food Biotechnology 2016 from Society of Applied Biotechnology. He is also member of Scientific Panel of FSSAI.
