Biography

Sandy Britton ARB, Senior Lecturer at University of Liverpool School of Architecture, leads a final year UG studio and teaches across the school. Her award winning studio and published pedagogy promotes themes of Liveable Cities and Fragile Futures. Her pedagogy is immersive, Task based and collaborative with multiple stakeholders of local industry, local authority, community and LSA Research. Sandy previously worked at a scaler range of practices projects of housing, heritage re-use, education and culture. Her practice informs her pedagogy.

Sarah Green ARB has tutored at University of Liverpool since 2014. Her particular interests are architectural psychology, representation and sustainability. Sarah has 14 years design experience built from residential and commercial architecture and interior design projects around the North West. She studied at the University of Sheffield, and worked for Cartwright Pickard, Sheppard Robson, Phaus and SPACE Architecture + Planning before establishing her own practice in Stockport; another architecture + interiors.

Tony Lees ARB is an Associate at Studio MUTT and a university educator with ten years of experience across BA and MArch studios. His career ranges from large-scale urban projects at prestigious global firms to award-winning cultural and residential schemes. A graduate of the University of Liverpool and The Bartlett (UCL) under the tutelage of Niall McLaughlin, Tony is a passionate advocate for the craft of architecture. He remains dedicated to fostering passion in others through the exploration of space, materiality, and the ways we interact with the built environment.

Giles Wheeldon ARB is Associate Director at Ian Chalk Architects where he has delivered award-winning schemes with focus on adaptive reuse within highly sensitive sites. Notable projects include Chart Street Studios, an RIBA award winning retrofit, and Cambridge Arts Theatre. He trained at University of Liverpool, and later at the CASS, London Metropolitan under tutelage of Peter St John and David Grandorge. Giles taught at the University of Liverpool between 2018 and 2023.
