Biography
Antonio Greco
Dr. Antonio Greco, MD, PhD, is a Consultant Cardiologist at the Cardiovascular Department, Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria Policlinico "G. Rodolico—San Marco", University of Catania (Catania, Italy). He earned his MD (Medicine and Surgery) and PhD (Translational Biomedicine) degrees at the University of Catania (Catania, Italy). He also completed an advanced university course on Biomedical Statistics Applied to Research in the Human Field at the University of Palermo (Palermo, Italy) and a Second Level Master’s Degree (Advanced Biostatistics for Clinical Research) at the University of Padua (Padua, Italy).
Dr. Greco is the recipient of a highly competitive research grant funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research. He has published more than 80 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and contributed to multiple chapters and textbooks in the field of cardiology. He has served as a scientific consultant for the European Commission and as a volunteer for the European Society of Cardiology. Dr. Greco has delivered over 30 invited lectures at national and international scientific meetings. His research activities mainly focus on cardiovascular pharmacotherapy, antithrombotic therapy, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, and cardiovascular disease prevention.
Davide Capodanno
Davide Capodanno, MD, PhD, is Full Professor of Cardiology at the University of Catania, Director of the Postgraduate School of Cardiovascular Diseases, and Director of the Cardiology Division at the Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria Policlinico “G. Rodolico–San Marco” in Catania, Italy. He earned his MD and PhD from the University of Catania and completed advanced research training at the University of Florida, Jacksonville.
Dr. Capodanno has authored more than 750 peer-reviewed publications and contributed to five textbooks and multiple chapters in interventional cardiology. He has delivered more than 400 invited lectures at international scientific meetings, including ESC, ACC, EuroPCR, TCT, and TCTAP. His research focuses on coronary revascularization, antithrombotic therapy, clinical trial methodology, and biostatistics.
