Biography
Emanuel Mazor is Professor (retired}, Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel. Still active at the university, his long list of research papers investigates a wide spectrum of groundwater occurrences. These studies were carried out in many countries and with the close association of a long list of coworkers. The water samples that were collected in the field were sent to expert laboratories for analysis, except for the noble gases, for which he headed a leading laboratory for more than 20 years. Dr. Mazor received the B.S. (1955) and Ph.D. (1960) degrees in geology from Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
