Biography

Tal Lazar is an award-winning cinematographer, producer, and educator. He has taught at prominent institutions, including the American Film Institute Conservatory and Columbia University, and led online programs for Sundance Institute and Berklee College of Music. His films, ranging from thrillers and action to intimate drama, have reached audiences worldwide.

Tal Lazar was my cinematography student, a member of my faculty and now becomes my instructor with this beautiful, instructive book. In this moment, when acquiring the tools of filmmaking is easy, Cinematography Beyond Technique gives the reader the soft tools to create story-driven images.
