Biography

Anil Markandya is a leading authority in environmental economics and has worked extensively on climate change issues. He was Professor of Economics at Bath University and is currently at the World Bank as Lead Economist on Environment and Socially Sustainable Development in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.



Kirsten Halsnaes is an International Expert on the Economics of Climate Change and was a coordinating lead Author of the Third Assessment of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). She is a Senior Research Specialist at the UNEP Collaborating Centre on Energy and Environment in Denmark
