Biography

Lorenzo Rossano is Professor of Bioengineering Electronics at the University of Palermo (Italy). In partnership with Columbia University in New York, Mr. Rossano developed a mathematical model, MODELPROD, to improve productive processes in manufacturing and service delivery. As part of his academic work, he developed FORMYHEART, a microprocessor-based expert system that integrates analytical data for interpreting electrocardiographic signals for early identification of cardiovascular diseases. He is an advisor to the Italian Minister for Technological Innovation and Digital Transition. He led process optimization projects across industries and hospital, as reorganization and cost reduction of 100 hospitals of the Lombardy health system.
