Biography
Erdi Can Aytar is an academic researcher at Uşak University, Türkiye. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Adnan Menderes University, his master’s degree in biology from Gazi University, and completed his Ph.D. in Biology at Ondokuz Mayıs University. His research focuses on biochemistry, plant secondary metabolites, natural product chemistry, nanotechnology, carbon quantum dots, and in silico molecular modelling. His work primarily investigates the chemical characterization of bioactive natural compounds, evaluation of their biological activities, and elucidation of molecular interaction mechanisms through computational and molecular modelling approaches. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed international scientific publications and has contributed to over 10 international book chapters. His research encompasses antioxidant, antimicrobial, anticancer, neuroprotective, and metabolic disease-related bioactivities, as well as the biomedical applications of nanomaterials. In addition, he actively serves as a reviewer for more than 100 international scientific journals and is a member of the editorial boards of various international journals. He engages in interdisciplinary research integrating biotechnology, pharmaceutical biochemistry, and computational biology, and participates in national and international collaborative scientific projects.
