Biography

Amany Refaat, MD, MSc, MHPE, PhD, is an Egyptian university professor, Fulbright alumna, and a global advocate for women’s health. She has taught medical, public health, and other health professionals in Egypt (Suez Canal University), the USA (Walden University), and the UK (Learna LTD: University of Buckingham and University of South Wales). She has dedicated her research and interventions over the last three decades to combating various forms of disparities and violence against women, with a particular focus on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
