Criminology and Public Policy: Companion Series to Applied Criminology

About the Series

Series Description

Criminology & Public Policy aims to provide authoritative coverage of the core areas comprising contemporary applied criminology. Thematic volumes will be comprised of approximately 25 to 30 original article-length (20-30 pages) contributions per volume. Volume themes will be broad-based so as to encompass the major theoretical, empirical, and policy relevant work within major specialty areas of criminology. Distinguished scholars in the discipline will be selected as volume editors per input from the Advisory Board so that both experienced and top emerging scholars can be identified and secured as contributors. The volumes will be appropriate for both course and reference purposes and will appeal to students, instructors and researchers in criminology, criminal justice, sociology, political science, public health, social work and child and family studies. The central role of the series will be strengthening the extant social scientific knowledge base with high quality scholarship informing the formulation of crime and justice policy.
