Biography

Kensei Hiwaki, is Professor Emeritus of International Economics at Tokyo International University (TIU) and Distinguished Professor at the International Institute for Advanced Studies in Systems Research and Cybernetics (IIAS). He had seven years of business experience before commencing his undergraduate studies as a scholarship student at Drew University in New Jersey, USA from where he earned his BA. He has an MA from Duke University and a PhD from City University of New York. In addition to teaching, Kensei has presided over numerous international symposia on "Sustainable Development: Theories, Strategies and Global Governance Systems", "Personal and Spiritual Development in the World of Cultural Diversity" and on "Celtic Civilization", under the auspices of the International Conference on Systems Research, Informatics and Cybernetics. He has received many academic awards and honours.

Prize: Winner of 2011 Book of the Year Award from International Institute for Advanced Studies in Systems Research and Cybernetics (IIAS)
