Biography

Tilottama Mukherjee is Professor in the Department of Psychology, University of Calcutta, and a RCI registered Clinical Psychologist. With over eighteen years of teaching, research, and clinical experience, she has made significant contributions to the fields of clinical psychology and psychotherapy. Her areas of specialization include personality disorders, particularly Borderline Personality Disorder, child and adolescent mental health, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), third-wave CBT approaches, and mindfulness-based interventions.

Tilottama Mukherjee received postdoctoral research and training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy from St. John of God Hospital, University of New South Wales, Australia. She has served in several academic and administrative leadership roles, and is a member of the Editorial Board of the Indian Journal of Clinical Psychology. Her scholarly contributions include more than fifty research publications, multiple book chapters, and edited COVID-19 through the Lens of Mental Health in India: Present Status and Future Directions (Routledge). Through her academic, clinical, and community engagement activities, she continues to advance psychological research, training, and mental health advocacy.
