Biography
Tushar Semwal has a Masters and PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Guwahati. He is a recipient of the prestigious 4-year research fellowship award from TCS India, for his industry applicable research. He has won several travel grants from Microsoft, SERB India, and TCS. He is currently a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Edinburgh working on Cyber-Physical Systems for offshore energy. His research interests include IIoT, sensor system design, and privacy-aware ML.
Faiz Iqbal has a PhD in Manufacturing-Automation from IIT Delhi, India. He is currently working as a post-doctoral researcher in the School of Engineering, the University of Edinburgh. He has to his credit several research papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. He secured funding for a COVID-19 project which he successfully delivered and was nominated for the Scottish Knowledge Exchange award in the COVID-19 collaborative response category. His research interests are Industry 4.0, CPS, advanced manufacturing, industrial automation, and mechatronics.
