Biography

Gary Hinson, PhD, MBA, is an information security specialist with a particular interest in the human and business aspects of both protecting and exploiting information. His career stretches back to the mid-1980s as a practitioner, manager, and consultant in the fields of IT system administration, information security, and IT auditing for multinationals in several industries. For more than a decade until COVID, Gary created monthly packages of security awareness materials for subscribers. These days, Gary consults and teaches on the ISO/IEC 27000-series "ISO27k" information security management standards and information security metrics.
