Maarten Schönfeld (1957) is an aircraft engineer by profession and has been an amateur historian since retiring. He also constructs ship and aircraft models, focusing on 1:350 scale kits of Dutch naval ships. Before retiring, he worked in the international IT industry for large corporations.
