Marzenna Cichosz is Associate Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management at SGH Warsaw School of Economics, Poland.

Arkadiusz Kawa is Associate Professor at Poznań University of Economics and Business, Poland.

'Since I became interested in urban logistics some 15 years ago, the topic of last‑mile logistics has grown in ways no one would have believed at the time. Urban logistics was then a niche area within the broader logistics field. Back then, we studied projects on business models and the implementation of city‑logistics solutions, mainly aimed at reducing congestion and emissions in European city centers. That was complex enough in itself. However, in recent years, e‑commerce has expanded at an incredible pace, driven by platform technologies and large companies’ omni‑channel distribution strategies. Deliveries to the doorstep or to collection points have become norm. As a result, new knowledge is needed — and this book provides a wealth of insights on e‑commerce and last‑mile logistics, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and circular supply chains. Congratulations to the editors and authors on a fine book that will be useful to anyone interested in e‑commerce, logistics, or e‑commerce logistics.'

- Professor Britta Gammelgaard, University of Southern Denmark and Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Logistics Management

'E-Commerce Logistics: From Click to Sustainable Delivery offers a rigorous and integrative perspective on one of the most dynamic domains in supply chain management. Its strong focus on sustainability, combined with a holistic treatment of fulfillment, last-mile delivery, and reverse logistics, makes it an essential resource for understanding modern e-commerce systems. The book not only synthesizes the current state of knowledge but also outlines important directions for future research and practical implementation.'
