Biography

Philip J. Gisi, PMP, SSMBB, has over 30 years of experience in the automotive, commercial, and aerospace industries. His areas of expertise include new product development, process technology, quality management, automotive electronics, and manufacturing operations. He has worked internationally in multicultural environments, has been employed for his project management expertise, has led efficiency improvements, and has most recently worked as an internal consultant at Vitesco Technologies and the Schaeffler Group.

Phil has a Master of Science in Engineering, a Master Certificate in Project Management, Lean Management Certification from the University of Michigan, Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, and is a holder of Six Sigma Master Black Belt (SSMBB). Phil has been sharing his knowledge and experiences in Project Management, Lean Concepts, and Six Sigma Process Improvement as a DePaul University instructor for over 20 years, and is the author of three previous books published by Taylor & Francis Group: Sustaining a Culture of Process Control and Continuous Improvement: The Roadmap for Efficiency and Operational Excellence; Fundamentals of Daily Shop Floor Management: A Guide for Manufacturing Optimization and Excellence; and The Dark Factory and the Future of Manufacturing: A Guide to Operational Efficiency and Competitiveness.
