Biography
Chris Inglis is a musicologist based in Cardiff, Wales, whose research primarily explores the emergence and development of the electro swing scene. In 2019, he received his doctorate from the University of South Wales. He is currently employed by the British and Irish Modern Music Institute in Bristol.
"In this important book, Inglis has documented a thorough exploration of the emergence of electro swing, a genre which often slips under the radar of scholarly discourse. Based on interviews with key stakeholders in the genre’s development, Inglis asks a number of important questions surrounding the resurrection, recontextulisation and appropriation of music. A must read."
