Dr. Nicos Rossides is a CEO, educator, and author with a focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, and the future of work. He is Co-Founder and Chairman of the Advisory Board at listening247, a global insights firm, and serves as Professor of Management at Minjiang University's International Digital Economy College. He has held CEO roles in international companies across marketing insights, healthcare, and consulting, and writes extensively on workforce engagement, startup dynamics, and the role of AI in management.
“This book addresses a critical but often neglected dimension of startup success: employee engagement. It bridges theory with the raw realities of startup life, and I especially valued the focus on science- and technology-based ventures, where trust, motivation, and the integration of research with commercial expectations are decisive.”
Andrea Di Anselmo – Co-founder & President, META Group; EBN Board Member
“The terms ‘entrepreneur’ and ‘startup’ are often used loosely, losing their original meanings. In this book, Nicos Rossides examines the true foundations of entrepreneurship, exploring both nascent and genuine ventures to clarify and restore the meaning of these terms.
Leafing through the text, the reader breathes in the Schumpeterian air of the entrepreneur as a revolutionary agent. Their projects evolve into startups that produce creative destruction and, above all, intellectual wealth. Crucially, Rossides shows how such ventures depend on the engagement and dynamics of their teams - the human energy that turns ideas into development outside conventional paths.
Entrepreneurship here is not a managerial skill for incremental innovation, but a force for discovering new worlds of business. Revolutionary startups reorient the economy toward individual and collective well-being.”Professor Piero Formica, Thought Leader, Innovation Value Institute, Maynooth University, Ireland
“In building consumer brands, I’ve seen how culture and engagement underpin growth. Nicos Rossides brings that same truth into the world of science and technology startups, where the stakes and challenges are frequently different. His book offers a clear and thoughtful framework for founders navigating those environments.”
Neil Everitt — Co-Founder & Principal Shareholder, Brockmans Gin; Chairman, Rye River Brewing Company; Chairman, Marble Communications; Chairman, Compass Box Whisky; Director, Jubel Beer.
“Few challenges in life rival the difficulty of building a startup from the ground up. To survive and grow we must create an engaged, resilient team. Dr. Nicos Rossides offers us the most valuable insights into our entrepreneurial journey to success."
Przemyslaw A. Schmidt, investment banker, entrepreneur and startup coach
