Biography
Christiane Wagner is a research professor in aesthetics and the science of art and communication, affiliated with UNIVESP and the Institute of Advanced Studies (IEA USP) at the University of São Paulo and at ICI Berlin. She has held professorships at the Institute of Arts (UNICAMP) and the Contemporary Art Museum (MAC USP). She studied design in Frankfurt a.M. and Berlin, then continued her career in São Paulo, collaborating internationally. She holds a bachelor’s degree in design (first-class honors) from Belas Artes São Paulo, a master's degree in communication sciences, a Ph.D. in design and architecture from the University of São Paulo (USP), and a Ph.D. in science of art and aesthetics from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, all with the highest honors. She serves on the Scientific Committee of the Society for Interdisciplinary Image Science in Germany and on the International Committee of the College Art Association of America, New York.
