Biography
Rachel S. Rohde, MD, is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery. Currently an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, she specializes in treatment of musculoskeletal conditions of the upper extremity at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Following undergraduate studies at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Dr. Rohde earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She completed an orthopedic surgery residency program and was a Visiting Instructor in orthopedic surgery at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. In addition, she completed a fellowship in upper extremity, hand, and microvascular surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
Dr. Rohde is an American Orthopaedic Association Emerging Leader and an American Society for Surgery of the Hand Young Leader. She also is involved in the American Association for Hand Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Her research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, and she has presented her findings at regional, national, and international meetings. Her book, Acute Management of Hand Injuries, published by SLACK Incorporated, was released in January 2009.
Peter J. Millett, MD, MSc, is a partner at The Steadman Clinic and an internationally recognized orthopedic surgeon specializing in disorders of the shoulder and all sports-related injuries. Consistently selected as one of the “Best Doctors in America,” Dr. Millett serves as a shoulder and sports medicine consultant to the country of Bermuda and has treated elite athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, X-Games, and the Olympics. Prior to coming to Vail, Dr. Millett held a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School and was formerly Co-Director of the Harvard Shoulder Service and the Harvard Shoulder Fellowship.
