Biography

Nam Nguyen Dang is an expert in corrosion science, electrochemistry, metallurgy, and nano-photoelectrochemistry. His research centers on the synthesis and characterization of metals and alloys, with a particular focus on developing compounds for corrosion inhibitions through specialized techniques. Apart from his expertise in corrosion science, Dr. Nam is also well-versed in advanced manufacturing techniques for developing sustainable, durable, and eco-friendly materials. His work includes creating novel alloys, corrosion inhibitors, and hybrid materials with promising sustainability. In 2005, Dr. Nam earned his bachelor’s degree at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in Vietnam and then pursued graduate studies at Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea, where he completed both a master’s degree in 2008 and a PhD in 2011. In 2012, he joined Deakin University in Australia as an Alfred Deakin research fellowships. Two years later, he was appointed a senior lecturer and manager of the Department of External Relations and Science and Technology at PetroVietnam University. Currently, Dr. Nam serves as an associate professor and manager of the Feature Materials and Devices Laboratory, leading the Electromaterials and Corrosion Science group at Duy Tan University, Vietnam.
