The Austin Friary at Hull was founded in 1316/17 as a daughter-house of the York friary. It would be the very last of the Order to surrender to the Crown, on 10 March 1539. Biography

D H Evans is a former archaeologist who worked full-time for over 40 years in British archaeology. During that period, he published over 100 books and articles, with many concentrating on medieval and post-medieval studies.
