Biography
Nader Shehata is a physics professor and associate director of the Center of Smart Materials, Nanotechnology, and Photonics at Alexandria University, Egypt, director of research at Kuwait College of Science and Technology, Kuwait, and adjunct associate professor at the Faculty of Science, Utah State University, United States. He works on nanostructure synthesis, characterization, and correlated applications in piezoelectric energy harvesting, flexible electronics, environmental sensing, solar cells, and biomedicine. Dr Shehata has secured around $2.2 million in research grants, published more than 70 journal articles, 2 edited books, and a few edited book chapters, and participated in more than 20 international conference appearances, including invited talks, oral presentations, poster sessions, and proceedings. He is the editor-in-chief and a topical guest editor for several nanotechnology journals and a reviewer for several funding agencies and journals. He is a senior IEEE member and a fellow with UK Higher Education (FHEA).
