Biography

Virve Marionneau is an associate professor at the University of Helsinki, Finland. She is also the director of the University of Helsinki Centre for Research on Addiction, Control and Governance, a commissioner on the Lancet Public Health Commission on Gambling and a member of the Gambling Harms Evaluation Committee of the Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. Her research focuses particularly on gambling regulations, the commercial and legal determinants of gambling and gambling harms.
