Biography

Iva Jelušić is a historian interested in social history, women’s and gender history, the history of feminism in the state socialist countries of Central and Eastern Europe, and the politics of the past and the development of the cultural memory of World War II in Yugoslavia.

"This book is engaging, thoroughly researched, and beautifully written. The processes it describes resonate with many post-socialist contexts beyond Europe. It will appeal equally to historians and history enthusiasts."
