Biography
Marcel Danesi is Professor Emeritus of Linguistic Anthropology and Semiotics at the University of Toronto. He is a co-founder of the Cognitive Science Network at the Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences, which aims to study the relation between the mind, culture, and mathematical discovery. His most recent publications have focused on the relation between technology, mass media, human meaning systems, and artificial intelligence. He was the editor of the journal Semiotica for over 20 years.
