Biography

Pradeep Kumar is a senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Manipal University Jaipur, India. He received his doctorate degree from the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, India. He has made significant contributions in the field of remote sensing, GIS, GPS, AI/ML, aerosols, environmental pollution, climate change, public health, agricultural crops production, and soil moisture and working in these areas, since last 13 years. He has published more than 45 peer-reviewed research articles in international/national journals with h/i10 index 18/29 and 5 book chapters in Taylor and Francis and other international publishers. He has also published more than 30 oral and posters presentations in various national/international conferences/workshops. He has served as a reviewer in various international/national journals. He served as lead topic editor of special issue entitled “Advances in remote sensing and GIS applied to earth observation and environmental monitoring” in “Frontiers of Remote Sensing” Journal. Guest associate editor of special issue “Environment and Climate: Role of Humans and Technologies (ECRHT)” in “Environmental Science and Pollution Research” Journal. Currently he is working as a lead editor in one Scopus Indexed in press book entitled “Geospatial Technologies: Environmental and Climate Science Applications & Challenges” that will be published by Taylor & Francis.

Rajeev Bhatla is an Indian monsoon expert and a Professor of Meteorology at Department of Geophysics, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. His areas of interest are teleconnection and its linkage to the Indian monsoon, regional/global climate modeling, climate prediction, extreme weather events and many more. During his professional career of about 30 years, he gained extensive experience in academics, administration and research. Prof. Bhatla has supervised 22 Ph.D. students (12 -awarded, 10-pursuing) and published/accepted 140 research papers, and 27 book chapters in peer-reviewed International and National journals. He was also a Regular Associate of ICTP which comes under the umbrella of UNESCO and IAEA. Recently he conferred with Fellow of Indian Geophysical Union.

Sudhir Kumar Singh has expertise in geospatial technologies, climate, and land use change modelling, water resources. He has 211 publications with Google scholar citation 8959, i-index: 106, h-index: 55. Published 04 edited books. Recipient of many fellowships namely National Research Foundation (NRF), South Africa, CSIR-JRF, UGC-JRF, G. Parthasarathi Fellowship and Best Teacher award, University of Allahabad, and Young Scientist Gold Medal. Enlisted in 2% Scientist in world ranking of Stanford, USA. Acting as Associate Editor in international journals [Arabian Journal Geosciences, Water Conservation and Engineering], editorial board member [Geology, Ecology and Landscapes, Applied Water Science], Guest Editor [Remote Sensing, Water, Physics Chemistry and Earth].

Arti Choudhary is currently associated with Department of Geophysics, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. She worked in Centre for Environment, Climate Change and Public Health at Utkal University Bhubaneswar Odisha, India. She received her PhD from the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Assam, India. She worked in Transport Planning and Environment Division, CSIR- Central Road Research Institute New Delhi, India. She has made significant contributions in the field of aerosols, environmental pollution, urban traffic emission modeling, climate change, remote sensing, public health and working in these areas since last 12 years. She has published more than 60 international/national peer-reviewed research articles/book chapters/conferences. She served as guest editors of special issues in Physics and Chemistry of the Earth parts A/B/C, Frontiers of Remote Sensing, Frontiers in Environmental Science, Environmental Science and Pollution Research Journals. She visited several countries for research purpose like USA, Japan, China and Nepal.
