Global Voices

About the Book Series

Global Voices creates a space for significant ideas to converge in English. Too often, important scholarship remains confined to its original language, limiting its reach and potential impact. This series addresses this by commissioning English translations of key works from the humanities, social sciences, science, technology and engineering. This allows these ideas to be read, considered and debated across borders.

Each book introduces readers to influential yet less familiar voices and traditions, offering fresh perspectives on shared global issues. By providing these texts, Global Voices highlights their local significance and their power to diversify international conversations.

Designed for researchers, graduate students and readers interested in global thought and the decolonisation of knowledge, the series facilitates the movement of ideas. It encourages exchange, invites engagement with different perspectives and shows how translation can be a source of new insight.
