    Biography

    Dr. Sarbjeet Kaushal is currently working as a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Gulzar Group of Institutions, Khanna, Ludhiana, India. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India. Dr. Kaushal has published more than 50 papers in referred journals. He has organized several seminars, workshops, and conferences at national and international levels. He has published two books and is the reviewer of several peer-reviewed journals. His research interests include sustainable manufacturing, surface engineering, microwave processing of materials, tribology of composite materials, and advanced manufacturing processes.

    Dr. Sandeep Bansal is working as an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, India. He obtained his Ph. D. in Mechanical Engineering from S.L.I.E.T, Longowal, India, his B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Institution of Engineers, India, his master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Bhai Gurdas Institute of Engineering and Technology, India, and his doctoral degree from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, India. Dr. Bansal has more than eighteen years of teaching and industry experience and has published more than 15 articles in journals and conferences. His areas of interest are microwave material processing, surface engineering, tribology, and biomedical engineering.

    Dr. Chander Prakash is working as a Pro-Vice Chancellor, Research & Development Chitkara University, Punjab, India. He has authored more than 400 research articles in journals, and conference proceedings, and has edited 23 books and authored 3 for various reputed publishers. He is the series editor of the book series ‘Sustainable Manufacturing Technologies: Additive, Subtractive, and Hybrid’, CRC Press Taylor & Francis. Dr. Prakash is an editorial board member of many peer-reviewed international journals and also serves as a guest editor for a few as well. In 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 he received the Research Excellence Award for publishing the highest number of publications at the University. His area of research is synthesis/development, surface modification, and advanced/precision machining of metallic and non-metallic biomaterials, and is also working on the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques for the development of biomaterials and optimizing manufacturing processes.

    Dr. Bhupinder Singh is currently working as a research fellow in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, University of Nottingham, UK. He obtained his Ph.D. from IIT Mandi, India, and his master’s degree from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India. Dr. Singh’s areas of interest include surface engineering and cavitation erosion. He possesses a track record of designing successful experimental programs, has published numerous research papers in reputed journals, and has a patent to his credit.

    Dr. Dheeraj Gupta is currently a professor and head of the Central Workshop at the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India. He obtained his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science, India, and his master’s and doctoral degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology India. Dr. Gupta has more than ten years of teaching and research experience and has worked on European Union Funded Projects, in Lisbon and Portugal. He has published more than 70 articles in journals and conferences and has filed two Indian patents on the microwave processing of metals. His areas of interest are microwave material processing, surface engineering, tribology, biomedical, and advanced manufacturing.
