Biography

W. David Yates is an Environmental Health and Safety Manager for Adient US, Inc. and a full time faculty member at Columbia Southern University in Alabama, USA. He is a Certified Safety Professional renowned for his expertise in hazardous materials management and safety programs. With a diverse academic background including degrees in Health Care Services, Hazardous Materials Management, and Environmental Science, as well as a Juris Doctorate, he also possesses experience through his extensive military service and civilian roles in safety management for various industries, including mining, reflect his commitment to preventive measures.

Daniel J (DJ) Schmutz is the owner of MSHA Safety Services Inc in Mountain View, Wyoming, USA, a training and safety/industrial hygiene consulting firm that oversees a team supporting over 350 mining companies nationwide. His education includes degrees in Biology, Public Health, and Occupational Safety and Health with a specialization in Environmental Management. Recognized for his profound understanding of mining exposure hazards, Schmutz is a Certified Safety Professional and an outreach trainer for the Mountain West OSHA Outreach Center, delivering crucial training on hazardous materials and industrial hygiene.

Kim B. Redding is founder of N-Compliance Safety Services, Inc in Meridian, Idaho, USA. A native of Wyoming, he has a well-travelling career in the US mining industry. After working in mines to becoming an MSHA inspector, Redding has dedicated his career to improving safety in the mining industry. His deep understanding of MSHA safety standards and his ability to translate them into practical terms for miners and operators alike have made him an invaluable resource.
