About the Authors

Robin Milhausen has published nearly 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals, including a number of scale validations. She is a recent President of the Canadian Sex Research Forum and is currently the Program Co-Chair for the Annual Guelph Sexuality Conference and the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality’s Annual Meetings in 2016 and 2017. She serves as an Associate Editor of the Canadian Journal of Human Sexuality and is on the Editorial Board for the Archives of Sexual Behavior and Sexuality Research and Social Policy.

John K. Sakaluk received his Ph.D. in Social Psychology, with a minor in Quantitative Psychology, from the University of Kansas in 2015. He completed a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) of Canada postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto Mississauga, in the Department of Psychology. Sakaluk is now an Assistant Professor at the University of Victoria, in the Department of Psychology, where he is primarily responsible for teaching undergraduate- and graduate-level statistics courses, among other topics. He serves as the Statistical Consultant for the Canadian Journal of Human Sexuality. His research has focused on evaluating and establishing best practices for data analysis in social science research.

Terri D. Fisher has been on the psychology faculty of The Ohio State University since 1982. She has conducted research on various aspects of sexual behavior and is Past-President of the Midcontinent Region of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality and Consulting Editor for The Journal of Sex Research.

Clive M. Davis taught at Syracuse University. Davis' research was focused on sexuality and communications. He was Editor of The Journal of Sex Research and President of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality. He was the founding president of the Foundation for the Scientific Study of Sexuality.

William L. Yarber is professor of applied health science and professor of gender studies at Indiana University, Bloomington. He is also a senior research fellow at The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction and the senior director of the Rural Center for AIDS/STD Prevention at Indiana University.
