Biography

Dr. (Mrs.) Subrata Borgohain Gogoi is Dean of the Faculty of Earth Sciences and
Energy and a Professor in the Department of Petroleum Technology at Dibrugarh
University, Assam, India. With a Ph.D. in Petroleum Technology from Dibrugarh
University and over three decades of academic and research excellence, her expertise
includes Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), oilfield produced water treatment, and
the rheology of crude oil. She has led numerous national and international research
projects, including collaborations with the US, Canada, Tunisia, and the UK, and
holds 14 patents in innovative petroleum technologies. Dr. Gogoi has successfully
supervised 11 Ph.D. scholars and has an impressive publication record, with over 85
research papers in peer-reviewed journals, 12 book chapters, more than 50 papers in
technical proceedings, and 3 published books. Her outstanding contributions to research
and teaching have earned her multiple awards, and she actively participates in
professional organizations such as the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the
Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers. Additionally, she serves as a reviewer and
editorial board member for leading international journals, significantly advancing
petroleum technology and environmental sustainability.
