Biography
Füsun Mayda Domaç, MD, Msc Information Classification: General Professor Füsun Mayda Domaç earned her Medical Degree from Istanbul University, Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty,Türkiye. She is a neurologist and has a master degree of clinical neurophysiology from Marmara University. Dr Domaç is the founding and current Chief Director of both Neurology Department and Sleep Medicine Center at University of Health Sciences Erenköy Mental Health and Nervous Diseases Training and Research Hospital, İstanbul,Türkiye. She is the president of ethical committee of the same institution and also a current board member of Turkish Neurological Society. Dr Domaç has over 130 peer-reviewed publications to her name, has been an author of 30 book chapters and an editor of 6 multi-author scientific books. Being mainly specialized and having extensive experience in sleep disorders and headache, she is advanced in the diagnoses, treatment, management and training of both disorders. She is pioneering efforts in drawing attention to the interactions between headaches and sleep disorders and carries out social responsibility projects to increase public awareness. Wael Mohamed, MSc, MD, PhD, FAAS Dr Mohamed is a Physician Neuroscientist. He earned his Medical Degree from Menoufia Medical School, Egypt, and his Doctorate Degree from Pennsylvania State University, USA. After finishing his training in the Neurosurgery Department, he started his career as a clinical pharmacologist with Information Classification: General psychopharmacology as a subspecialty. Currently, he is a professor in IIUM, Malaysia. His translational brain research targets the investigation and development of novel treatment for Alzheimer’s Disease and Parkinson’s Disease using zebrafish animal models. He is the founder and chair of the AfrAbia Parkinson’s Disease Genetic Consortium (AA-PD-GC), which is supported by GP2 and the Michael J. Fox Foundation to advance PD genotyping efforts across AfrAbia countries. A prolific author and editor, Dr. Mohamed has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles and led 16 influential academic books making him a global leader in neuropharmacology and clinical brain science. Aynur Özge, MD Professor Aynur Özge has extensive experience in international neurological research, medical education, and the leadership of multi-author scientific book projects. With an H-index of 43 and over 230 international publications to her name, she has been a driving force in global collaborations advancing the diagnosis, management, and treatment of complex neurological conditions. Her work is notably distinguished by the founding of the first and only comprehensive 5-step care model for Alzheimer’s disease in Türkiye, showcasing her ability to translate high-level specialist knowledge into practical, community-based care frameworks. Her current academic and clinical work emphasizes integrating specialized Information Classification: General neurology and algology expertise into accessible, clinically usable models for broader healthcare applications. By bridging the gap between advanced medical research and primary care practices, she continues to advocate for patient safety, rational treatment, and the preservation of cognitive health across populations.
