Biography

Yildiz Atasoy is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Simon Fraser
University, Canada. Her books include Turkey, Islamists and Democracy: Transition and Globalization in a Muslim State (2005) and Global Shaping and Its Alternatives (co-editor, with William K. Carroll, 2003).
