Biography
Megh R. Goyal, PhD, PE, is a Retired Professor in Agricultural and Biomedical Engineering from the General Engineering Department in the College of Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico–Mayaguez Campus. He has worked as a Soil Conservation Inspector and as a Research Assistant at Haryana Agricultural University and the Ohio State University. He was the first agricultural engineer to receive the professional license in Agricultural Engineering from the College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico and was proclaimed as the ""Father of Irrigation Engineering in Puerto Rico for the twentieth century"" by the ASABE - Puerto Rico Section, for his pioneering work on micro irrigation, evapotranspiration, agroclimatology, and soil and water engineering. During his professional career of over 55 years, he has received many prestigious awards. A prolific author and editor, he has written more than 200 journal articles and several textbooks and has edited over 135 books.
Anamika Chauhan, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Home Science at Chaman Lal Madhavidhyalya Haridwar, Sri Dev Suman University, Uttarakhand, India, where she is also a member of the Board of Studies. She is UGC-NET, USET, MPhil (home Science) qualified. She was awarded a Young Scientist Award by the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology and a Teacher’s Excellence Award by Motherhood University, Uttarakhand, as well as a Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Global Educator Award (2022 by the International Council for Education, Research and Training. She has one patent (“Gold Nanoparticles with Albizia lebbeck (L. Benth Leaves Extract for Dermal Cancer”) to her credit. She is a lifetime member of the Indian Science Congress Association, Kolkata; Scientific and Technical Research Association (STRA); and Home Science Association of India. She has published several research papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals, 15 edited books, and a textbook. She has also been associated with workshops and conferences. Her research interest and areas range across the right to education to nutrition and human health. Dr. Chauhan earned her master’s degree and PhD from HNB Garhwal Srinagar, Central University, Uttarakhand, India. She also has a master’s degree in English, Education, and Political Science.
Kamalesh Raja, PhD, is a distinguished researcher with a PhD in Environmental Biotechnology from SIMATS, Chennai, and a master’s degree from Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai. During his undergraduate studies in biotechnology, he earned an Indian Academy of Science Fellowship at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), Hyderabad. He also completed a nine-month internship in the Research and Development Department of Kemin Industries India & South Asia, Chennai. Prior to pursuing his PhD, Dr. Raja worked as an R&D Scientist at Oriens Global Marketing Pvt Ltd, where he demonstrated a strong commitment to applied research. Dr. Raja has significantly contributed to the scientific community with 16 publications, including five research articles and 11 review papers in high-impact journals. He has also authored two book chapters, reflecting his research acumen. His areas of expertise and research interest include environmental biotechnology, food technology, and waste-to-energy conversion. With a robust academic foundation and extensive industry experience, Dr. Raja continues to contribute to advancements in his field, bridging the gap between sustainable innovation and practical application.
