Biography

Shahram Gharib is a Digital Health strategist and Hospital Information Systems (HIS) senior consultant with more than two decades of hands-on experience leading transformation programs across the Middle East. With an academic foundation (Master Degree) in Health Information Technology and deep operational knowledge of advanced HIS platforms, he focuses on enabling safe, scalable, and sustainable digital ecosystems for healthcare organizations. His work spans the full digital transformation lifecycle, from strategy and roadmap development to HIS implementation, interoperability, data & digital governance, and post–go-live operational excellence. Shahram is dedicated to advancing digital maturity, guided by global frameworks such as EMRAM and AMAM, while adapting these standards to regional realities and organizational culture. He is the creator of the Core Interaction Model (CIM), a continuous performance and alignment framework designed to help hospitals achieve HIS implementation and operation success by integrating observation, implementation, and qualification into an iterative, learning-oriented cycle. CIM reflects his core belief that technology must serve people, empower teams, and improve the lived experience of clinicians, patients, and administrators. As an active member of the HIMSS Middle East Committee, Shahram contributes to knowledge exchange and capability development across health systems, ministries, and academic networks. His consultancy focus includes Digital Health Strategy, Data & Digital Governance, EMR Adoption, Digital Transformation Excellence, and Digital Health Workforce Capability Building, supporting organizations striving toward smarter care environments.
