Biography

Julia Bueno is a UKCP registered psychotherapist and supervisor with twenty years’ experience of supporting women, and couples, after reproductive loss. She has worked for the NHS, charitable organisations and in private practice as a psychotherapist, and facilitated both online and face-to face support groups, and for miscarriage and infertility. She has trained health professionals to understand the potential complexities of the associated losses and grief. She was a Trustee of the Miscarriage Association and now curate their expert practitioner register, and she is a member of their Health Advisory Board. She also has personal experience of pregnancy loss and her first book The Brink of Being – talking about miscarriage (Virago Press) was awarded the British Medical Association’s Popular Medicine Book of the Year in 2021 and was a runner up for the British Psychological Society’s Book of the Year 2021.
