Biography

Harvey Newman is an animation director and game developer with over 20 years in AAA production. He has led teams on projects such as Star Wars Battlefront II and Horizon Zero Dawn, and now focuses on education and mentorship in game development. He is also the founder of Proxima Studio, where he’s currently developing Warship Jolly Roger, a pirate-themed naval combat game. Alongside running his studio, he focuses on education and mentorship in game development, helping the next generation of developers navigate the industry’s challenges and build sustainable careers.
