About the Author

Robert C. Hughes, M.S. is an Academic member of WorldatWork and an Emeritus member of the International Public Management Association for Human Resources. He has over forty years’ experience in human capital management and information systems that has included internal and external consulting engagements in compensation planning and human capital management information systems. He has developed innovative and cost-effective compensation and human capital management systems internally and commercially and has been instrumental in consulting with management in charting corporate level human capital compensation and management system strategies and large HCMS projects. Commercial compensation systems developed by him have also been successfully marketed in the United States, Europe and the Middle East. Mr. Hughes is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Ageno School of Business at Golden Gate University in San Francisco. In addition, Mr. Hughes has taught Graduate Level HCMS and Information Technology courses throughout the San Francisco Bay Area including California State University, East Bay, Sonoma State University, University of San Francisco and University of California at Berkley Extension. Mr. Hughes is an Associate member of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
