Biography

Ajaya K. Sahoo is Professor and Head of the Centre for the Study of Indian Diaspora at the University of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. His teaching and research interests include international migration, diaspora, and transnationalism. He is the Founder and Editor of the journal South Asian Diaspora (Taylor & Francis) and serves as Book Series Editor of the Routledge Research in Asian Diasporas (Taylor & Francis).

Ajaya lucidly engages with the core issues facing the Indian diaspora in our times of global connectedness, digitization, and also, socio-political othering. His is a thought-provoking work which will open new lines of enquiry – it should be widely read.
