Biography

Dr. Gurpreet Singh Saini is an assistant professor-III in the Department of Automobile and Aeronautical Engineering, Amity Institute of Technology, Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP), Noida, India. He received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering (Composite Materials) from J. C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA in 2017. He earned his M.E. from PEC Chandigarh (2011), India and B.Tech from Kurukshetra University, India (2006) respectively. He has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience with core areas of research includes composite materials, material characterization, process optimization, wear and Tribology. He is an active life member of Science and Engineering Institute (SCIEI). He has also contributed in more than 25 research papers in various international journals of repute.

Dr. Jai Inder Preet Singh is currently working as professor and department head in School of Mechanical Engineering, Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar. His area of research is green composites, polymer composites, self-healing composites and mechanical characterization. He has published more than 20 research articles in peer reviewed international journals. He guided 1 Ph.D., 12 M.Tech Thesis and 1 Ph.D. thesis. He has published five book chapters and is editorial board of some of the reputed Scopus indexed journals. He is also a guest editor of one of the Scopus indexed international peer reviewed journals. He has granted 4 international patents, 7 national patents and published 50+ patents.

Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh is currently working as campus director, Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (Government of NCT of Delhi) Wazirpur-I Campus, Delhi, an eminent faculty, researcher, administrator, and a dynamic motivator for students. He did his B.Tech (M.E.) from VTU & M.Tech and Ph.D. (Mechanical Engineering) from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, India. He was awarded 1st Prize Dronacharya Award (Best Faculty Advisor) in BAJA SAE INDIA 2016 and 2nd Prize for Technology (Go-Green- Emissions) in BAJA SAE INDIA 2013. He has a teaching experience of more than 18 years and published many international research papers and has actively participated in workshops and international and national conferences.

Dr. Raghu Echempati: Dr. Raghu Echempati holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, India, and has over 40 years of academic experience, having taught at prestigious institutions including IIT Delhi, the University of Florida, Ohio State University, and Kettering University, where he retired as a full professor in 2022. He has also served as a part-time professor at Wayne State University and as a visiting professor in countries such as Germany, India, New Zealand, and Thailand. Dr. Echempati’s teaching expertise spans a wide range of subjects, including solid mechanics, vibrations, machine design, and automotive lightweighting. In addition to his academic roles, he has held various industry internships with Bosch, General Motors, and GEMA, providing expertise in areas like airbag injury studies and die design. He is a registered professional engineer in Mississippi, a fellow of ASME, and a member of ASEE and SAE. His contributions to engineering education and research have earned him multiple awards, including a Fulbright Specialist Award and the ASME Dedicated Service Award. Dr. Echempati has published over 160 papers and has delivered keynote lectures at numerous international conferences.

Dr. J. Paulo Davim is a full professor at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. He is also distinguished as honorary professor in several universities/colleges/institutes in China, India and Spain. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (materials and manufacturing processes) and Mechanical Engineering degree (5 years), from the University of Porto (FEUP), the Aggregate title (Full Habilitation) from the University of Coimbra and the D.Sc. (Higher Doctorate) from London Metropolitan University. He is Fellow (FIET) of IET-London, Fellow (FIMF) of IMF-Birmingham and Eur Ing by Engineers Europe FEANI-Brussels. He is also senior specialist engineer by the Portuguese Order of Engineers with an MBA and Specialist titles in Industrial Management as well as in Metrology. He has more than 35 years of teaching and research experience in manufacturing, materials, mechanical and industrial engineering, with special emphasis in machining, tribology & surface engineering. He has also interest in design, management, sustainability, Industry 5.0, engineering education and higher education for sustainability. He has guided large numbers of postdoc, PhD and master’s students as well as has coordinated and participated in several financed research projects. He has received several scientific awards and honors. He has worked as evaluator of projects for ERC-European Research Council and other international research agencies as well as examiner of PhD thesis for many universities in different countries. He is the editor- in-chief of several international journals, book series editor and scientific advisory for many conferences.
