Jarosław Brodny is a Professor at the Silesian University of Technology, Poland, specializing in production and industrial engineering, advanced technical systems, and the digital transformation of industry. His research emphasizes cyber-physical systems, industrial process modeling, and the integration of digital technologies with energy systems. In recent years, his work has focused on Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0, blending technological innovation with the analysis of resilience and safety in industrial and energy systems. Professor Brodny has an impressive academic record, with over 300 scientific publications and he is also a co-inventor of numerous patented solutions.

Magdalena Tutak is a Professor at the Silesian University of Technology, Poland, whose research centers on the sustainability and resilience of industrial systems within the frameworks of Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0. Her work emphasizes energy security, environmental performance, and the human-centric organization of production. She explores the interplay between technological transformation, occupational safety, workforce well-being, and the alignment of industrial practices with sustainability goals and policy frameworks. Professor Tutak has authored or co-authored over 170 scientific publications and leads research on sustainability, safety, and policy relevance, with a particular focus on the green transition and just labor-market transformation.
