Biography
Cynthia Steinke, MS, is Director of the Institute of Technology Libraries at the University of Minnesota, which provides collections and services for the physical and engineering sciences. Prior to joining the staff at the Institute of Technology Libraries in 1984, she served as Science and Engineering Librarian at the University of Illinois in Chicago, and Science Librarian at the John Crerar Library, also in Chicago. A member of the Special Libraries Association since 1964, Cynthia Steinke has served as President of the Illinois chapter, Chair of the Science-Technology Division, and member of the National Networking Committee. She has also been active in the American Library Association, the American Society for Information Science, and the International Association of Technological University Libraries.
