Innovations and Challenges in Applied Linguistics

About the Series

This series was founded by Ken Hyland, the Chair of Applied Linguistics and Head of the Centre for Applied English Studies at The University of Hong Kong.

Innovations and Challenges in Applied Linguistics offers the reader an understanding of the key innovations and challenges in core areas of Applied Linguistics and provides a strong personal view of where the field is heading from a leading academic in the field.

Each book in the series is written by a specially commissioned author with expertise in a given topic who discusses a current and controversial issue surrounding contemporary language use and points the way forward in that area.

Offering a cutting edge focus that carries the authority of an expert in the field and blending a clearly written and accessible outline of what we know about the field, where it is heading and the challenges involved, the books in this series are essential reading for those researching, teaching, and studying in applied linguistics.
