Biography

Aswathy Joseph is Assistant Professor at the Postgraduate and Research Department of Chemistry, Catholicate College, India. She received a Bachelor’s degree (2008) and Master’s degree (2010) in Chemistry from the University of Kerala, India. She received a PhD (2019) from Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), India and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education Technology and Management (2021) from ICARNAARM, UoH, India. She was awarded the Kerala University Merit Scholarship (2008) and Jawaharlal Nehru Scholarship for Doctoral Studies (2015–2017) from Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund, New Delhi. She also qualified for the UGC-CSIR National Eligibility Test for Lectureship in Chemical Science in December 2010. She has numerous publications in reputed international journals, including two major reviews and one edited book. Her areas of research interest are ionic liquids, ferrofluids, ionanofluids, polymer-ionic liquid thin films, and magneto-luminescent nanomaterials.

S M Sohel Murshed received his PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is currently Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal. He was Visiting Professor at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), USA (2021–2022) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Dhanbad), India (2022). Prof. Murshed is listed in the rankings of World’s Top 2% Scientists (both career and single year of 2021 impact lists) that was published by Stanford University in October 2023. In addition to 12 books and 35 book chapters, Prof. Murshed has authored/co-authored more than 240 scientific publications in leading international journals and conferences. His current citation count is 11,100 with h-index of 43 (Google Scholar). He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Society of Thermal and Fluids Engineers (ASTFE), and European Thermoelectric Society (ETS). He has regularly served as an expert evaluator for the EC and for funding agencies of different countries across the globe.

Suresh Mathew is Alexander-von-Humboldt Fellow and Senior Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at Mahatma Gandhi University, India. He is Founder and Director of the Advanced Molecular Materials Research Centre (AMMRC) at Mahatma Gandhi University. He completed his post-graduation from CUSAT, India in Applied Chemistry and earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Kerala, India in Collaboration with Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Trivandrum. He was Visiting Fellow at Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore (2000); Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, Taiwan (May to July 2009); and Rzeszow University of Technology, Poland (November 2015 and February 2017). Dr. Mathew has participated in the Leadership for Academician Programme at IIT Bombay and NTU Singapore. He has published 230 research papers in international journals and conferences, three patents, three edited books, and numerous book chapters.
