Islam in the World

About the Series

The time is ripe for a series that explores Islam in the World beyond the narrow confines of Islam as a ‘global problem’. Islam contributes to the world across a vast range of issues – from finance, to health care provision, to popular music, to ideas of criminal justice, practices of statecraft and diplomacy, justice, globalization and ethics – and does so in a multifaceted and dynamic manner, resisting easy definition or explanation. Public opinion, policy makers and researchers will therefore benefit from these concise volumes (25,000-50,000 words) that offer timely and expert intervention to such critical issues.
