Biography

Wieslaw Urban is a professor at the Bialystok University of Technology, Poland, and specializes in production management, Lean Manufacturing, and Quality Management. He has published over 180 scientific articles and several books, and has supervised five Ph.D. dissertations and frequently reviews for scientific journals. Dr. Urban provides expertise for the European Commission and domestic innovation support agencies (NCBiR, PARP) and is a distinguished consultant on continuous improvement for international companies. He coordinated the GoSmart BSR (€1.8M, 2018–2021) and GoSmart&Excel BSR (€0.8M, 2021) projects on S3 development and business internationalization, funded by the Interreg BSR program.

Patrycja Rogowska is an assistant professor at the Bialystok University of Technology, Poland, and specializes in production management, the Theory of Constraints, and process improvement. She is the author and co-author of scientific publications in the field of production and process management, including research on value stream management and operational efficiency. In 2023, she earned a Ph.D. in management and quality sciences with a dissertation on identifying constraints in printing industry production systems. Dr. Rogowska contributed to the €1.8M GoSmart BSR project (2018–2021) on S3 development and business internationalization, funded by the Interreg BSR program.
